When you are trying to increase the temperature do you have the tap turned off as the instructions say you cannot increase above 43 degrees whilst the tap is running. No it does not. If gas it is leaking Call plumber if you must especially if leak is internal within unit. You might want to check by squirting a little soapy water around any of the gas pipe fittings. If bubbles appear – tighten with a spanner/shifter.
