Is reversing my plate in ASA Softball an automatic result?
Did anyone tell me at the end of the game that pushing my plate upside down is an automatic retrieval under ASA rules, but they don't have a rollbook? Does anyone know the rules for sliding on my plate?
All but one (partial) answer is correct.
ASA rules are not about reversal. They are cold there. This applies to league games and all games where the ASA rules are followed without change. Many entertainment organizations and leagues initially used headless slide rolls. This is for safety.
This is where Danny went wrong.
There is no rule that someone needs to be deleted. A runner must avoid a collision while the defender waits to hit the target. Therefore, a runner who collides with an outfield player is called and can be dismissed. The ASA says the driver can slide, turn or cross, but not necessarily slide.
The reason is that slip can put players at risk. If the ASA (or someone else) requests a slip and hurts a player, loyalty can be attributed to Orizing. People will sue!
Your local entertainment department may change ASA rules in advance and head slides may be banned. The amusement mix I mentioned does not allow this type of sliding 12U and below. 13 and ve (14U) can be pushed back.
Runners do not need to slide. In MLB, the receiver can plow when the ball hits the back. Often, at all levels, from college to junior leagues, there is some sort of external slider principle. Each point has its own version of the pattern, and now the lower league community is performing very well, but in most cases the contestant will not be punished for doing anything to avoid a confrontation. Runners can slide towards the mounting plate and foot without moving backwards, or they can touch the profile plate to avoid collision. Either they give up before reaching the main base or they try to reach the third base (unless it is necessary).
The secondary compound is the only feature that prevents the head from slipping, and it occurs at all bases when runners advance. ASA does not ban gliding for any reason.

No, I play under ASA 16 and we always put the head first, maybe in your state or where you play, but not here in Arizona, is that weird?
I think the referee can force you to run.
You can slide it on my plate as you like. The only rule in A.s.a is that you must slide across the plate while playing, otherwise you will end up automatically.
I'm sure they can cross my mind first. It won't really work because if they can't but I'm not sure because I don't really know what softball is but I know that in my senior team we can slip into any base at any time.
You can slide your head to any base first. There is no rule that you should delay.
